Alright Blennie, you guilted me into posting these finally! A few new-ish photos.

Non-photo nano, balano madness! I went on aiptasia attack last night in here, hopefully I got most of them

Green stripe chalice (and aiptasia, lol)

Red stripe chalice. These two look to the be same kind and I'm hoping they will grow together and not eat each other, time will tell

Obligatory crappy FTS

There must be someone doing something with their tank! It's just about "Reef Season" and it's time to get used to posting again!

So, I'll start.

Oops. I just realized I never took pics of Jolene's 54 bowfront which I helped her get set up (with some help...Garret, John and Jason all pitched in a titch but mostly it was us gals). We started to get that up and going and then she bought Coldwave21's 58 gallon RR setup. So, we just last week combined the two tanks. It's ...

Do we want to do another swap? If so, when is best. I sort of wanted to do one this fall before it gets cold and to get some hobby discussion going again but there's probably not quite enough time to pull that off and have it before TCMAS's on Nov. 13th. The last one was pretty easy to coordinate with pizza brought in and coral donations for raffle prizes! What do you think? Wait till Spring? I'd rather not do the cold winter one again. Too cold for our critters!

If we want one, ...

Alright guys, I've decided to jump into the saltwater hobby! I've purchased a 29 gallon Eclipse aquarium, and I have lighting (two 24" T8s/T12s, was told with one 20k and one actenic that would be enough for hard corals), filtration (biowheel with live rock when I get it, and probably a skimmer), and a heater (150 glass). Oh and 30lbs dry sand. I plan on getting a powerhead, and live rock, obviously.

I'm waiting until I move up to BSU to my house for school to stock it though. So ...

New balano colony day I got it 7-30-10, looking pretty rough

Couple of weeks later

My first colony for comparision

I forgot to get a pic before I fragged up the new colony, they were looking even better and regrowing flesh between the polyps which is why I decided to go ahead and chop them up, they were putting out longer tentacles as well but not as long as the other ones yet.

This petstore has really low low prices for fresh and salt and belive me the prices are hard to beat in his store. Cris the owner also orders and matches prices on anything. His coral and fish are awesome and are low and he has a Emporer angel for 60$ and its adult that is crazy price. All his fish and coral are very low price good looking stuff.

I just bought a new 90 gal rr. I will need to move everything from one to the other. I will be using the same refugium 20 gal long, much of the same sand, rock etc. I am going to try to drill some of the rock and insert fiberglass rods I bought at home depot. I think I need to use caution with disturbing the sand right, and adding any new (dead) material. If think I can set up some tubs to begin cycling some of this material now, with expectation of moving the end of September.
