Foster & Smith Coral Farm Open Houses

Post by Home_Depot on Thu Feb 18, 2010 7:44 pm

Sawthis on RC

Hi,

Wanted to let everybody know about the Foster & Smith Coral Farm Open Houses we are having now, rather than the privately scheduled reef club tours. Here is a link to the information:
http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/g...al_pagesid=468

But in general, we are holding 4 open houses which include tour, buying from the coral farm, and raffle. Basically the exact same thing you may have done in the past (and other reef clubs), but we are opening it up to 60 people - be they reef club members, or just interested people. There have been very few times we've had 60 people show up, and we can hold that many, so we wanted to open it up to everybody else out there who would like to visit. Also, because we arent doing the Frag Swap anymore, it is a good way to still get people in to see the operations.

I'd suggest if you guys want to come as a group to figure out what date works best and email your reservations to Tours@LiveAquaria.com. There is plenty of room currently.

Here are the dates:
Saturday, April 17th, 2010 (half full)
Saturday, June 19th, 2010
Saturday, August 14th, 2010
Saturday, November 13th, 2010

And guess what...You could actually go to all four of them! LOL!

Thanks,
Melissa

Any interest? I'd sure like to go but then I always wonder, do we like each other enough to ride in a car together that long? LOL

I suppose you can't really buy any of the DD stuff, just whatever the retail store has. That sucks, we've seen the facility a couple times, cool and all but not worth that long of a drive when I've already seen it. No more frag swaps??? So depressing. Now we need a new plan for a vacation.

It sounds like DFS is no longer having their yearly frag swap... There are still swaps within the club for sure.
