Looking for glass
I'm looking to reuse old glass. I guess the most obvious source would be old windows, but I can think of a few others. I'm planning on learning how to make glass aquariums, and I don't want to spend money on the glass. If you have, or know of where I can get some, please let me know.
Eventually I am going to build myself a 24" cube as a display, but don't want to screw up with $200 dollars worth of glass. I would rather screw up free glass.
And yes, I will host a meeting for the cube build. Probably between April and July.

Re: Looking for glass
Look around for construction sites that are replacing plate glass on the windows. It is thick and easy to use for a tank I'd think. The only issue I know of is it may cost you just as much to have your own glass cut as it is to just but some glass and start playing.

Re: Looking for glass
I'm looking at getting a big fancy speed cutter. It will make cutting large straight cuts a sinch.
Schaver, I'll take you up on that window and tank. However, I don't know the next time I'll be passing through PR.
