White Deer....Neat

In 1999 2000 I was deer Hunting in Clearwater Mn were I grew up at. There was an albino deer in the area. They were (DNR) saying that it was disease ridden and that it was to be shot on site and you did not need a license or even be in season. I actully seen the deer on eavining driving on a dirt road. It was cool looking and wish i had my gun with me but no it was at home. That would have been cool to have up on my wall. lol

My aunt saw one near Grand Rapids years ago. If I were hunting, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot one. I've been told that they do not survive long in the wild due to predation. Maybe we have more predators here in MN.

We had a true albino in our woods near grandforks for years. I had also heard that albinos are weak and would not live. It's false. That deer was seen for 6 hunting seasons,thats incredibly old for a deer in that part of the world.
They are having some trouble on the east coast with a white"gene"
in whitetails.seems it is dominant and the herds of normal whitetail are being overtaken. These deer arent true albinos though They have brown eyes and brown nose.
I love deer hunting, but theres no way I could pull the trigger on one of those......getting soft in my old age.

They were saying that they dont have to have pink eyes to be a true albino. It would be neat to see one of these!
