Dan you do have a pack of charcoal don't you? That seemed to kick my slime. I want to say Garrett or someone on this site found the same result when charcoal was added. I will look up in my Julian Sprung book when I get home. I am on vacation for now.

Re: What keeps me going.
You got me thinking about what keeps me going. First off, I really don't have a comment about the zeo since I've not used it and most I know of it was from Vishnu's talk waaayyy back. I know frags I've gotten from Andre don't look the same in my tank but have always figured it's from different lights and different water chemistry too. However, I've been happy with anything I've gotten from him before and after he started doing zeo.
Now for what keeps me going. This changes from time to time. If I'm just watching my tank, I'm pretty content and enjoy it especially after some of our recent changes (changing to ATI bulbs and redoing the aquascape). If I see tanks like Andre's, Jim's, Tiffany's and many others then I realize that I could do so much more with mine. I feel really hindered by amount of cash I can spend without feeling my hobby is cheating my family. So, I try to do the best I can with what I have available for now. I keep changing what I want to keep. I was happy with softies for quite a while. Then I got a few pieces of LPS and the bug bit me hard. Then I got some SPS and while it doesn't appeal to me quite as much as the LPS (YET), I do really like the variety of color and texture in the tank. Each time I make these kinds of changes, my tank needs change and I'm off on a mission.
Great discussion.
