Need pics of Coraline Scrapers!

Post by obsessed on Wed Mar 10, 2010 4:01 pm

as the title suggests I am going to make a scraper for that beautiful coraline algae that is seen more on my glass than on my rocks. Was trying to describe such to hubby and neither can come up with a good model. I know Cammie has one. could you guys post pics so we can better grasp the concept???? mucho gracias!

I have a couple acrylic ones that Ben made for a meeting way back, they seem to work pretty well on straight surfaces like glass, I use them to get off coraline and those stupid little worms that make white tubes all over the place. If you want one I think I have multiples, I can send one your way. I don't have a pic of them though.

The one we have works better than any other I've tried. Jason just took PVC pipe and cut a slit for a razor blade on one end at an angle. Put in the razor and scrape away. Do you remember what it looks like Maurine?

If the tank is glass, a good fresh razorblade is all you need Wink
