anenome fragging!!
I have never tried this wanted to see if anyone else has ! It was an article in reef hobbyist talking about manually splitting anemones . The short and curlies of it is just split it down the center with razor blade! to make two halves has any one tried this ever it sounds gross and not like much fun lol let me know your thoughts group!

Don't bother. The chances of killing the nem are too high, especially if you are new to it. You'd also need to isolate it until it healed, outside the normal tank to avoid any chemical warfare... Just let it split on its own...

You can do this with BTA. you can overfeed them to get them to split to .

Re: anenome fragging!!
I don't have any rbta's in my tank now but when I did I used to cut them fairly often. Never had an issue losing any of them. Just cut them down the middle and put them back in the tank.
Recently I've been cutting my maxi mini's the same way. Just running a razor down the middle and forcing the split. I've also peeled them free of the rock and cut them in half with a scissors.

I did it last night to my min-maxi's. 2 anems makes 6, and 3 of the 6 were attached to my basket last night.
They are darn resilient little things.

I feel rbta's are plenty able to just be cut in half I have tried to kill these things and it's almost impossible IMO if they are used to the tank and healthy.
