T5 retro build

Jason is thinking of doing something like this for our light. In fact, I think he's out working on it right now. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1871041 Ours would be wood sided, have holes w/out fans on the top and, it will sit right on top of the aquarium. I believe he still plans to mount a fan on each side one facing out and one, in. Does this plan seem OK? I'm concerned about salt creep.

Looks nice but I would try and get it up off the tank a few inches anyway just for the fact of the salt creep.
