Oct 2010 nano reef shot

Post by GoingPostal on Sun Oct 03, 2010 5:52 pm

Tank shot taken today, as you can see, we are running out of room. Trying to figure out whether I should cover the sandbed with acans or sell some coral off, problem is I like everything in there and can't decide what we would sell if I went that route

Also crappy shot of some weird worm tunnel going on under the rocks, this thing just keeps getting longer and longer, anybody know what it is?

Yeah that maze is spreading down over the rock, I have a flat rock under it but would like to move it higher in the tank, it's James's favorite. Can definately get you a frag of the meteor shower, I have a few growing out reserved already and making more. Hey do you by chance still have those micros I traded you a few years back? They were purple with green centers, now that I've got a couple other colors I'm bummed I ever got rid of them.

It's a 150 watt halide over it with a 14k Phoenix bulb, needs a bulb change though, it's been a year.

NICE. Thanks for sharing. It is looking pretty full. I'd like to see that up close some time again!

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at in the second pic.

To the left and behind the brain, there's a sand tunnel, it's kind of hard to see, I had to take it with flash to get it to show up at all but it's a lot larger than it looks and curls around at the back too. I think it's a worm thingy but haven't seen it.

I saw a "worm thingy" exactly like this at the display tank at World of Fish in Duluth today. They didn't know what it was either. I had some extra rock so my 29 nano is stacked to the surface with live rock. They seem to like it. I think it helps with water quality.

Hey Garrett, or whoever, do you know what kind of sps that is I got from you? It's still alive, amazingly and still brown, but looking like it's getting blue/purple near the bottom part.

it is a tri-color and it is AWSOME color when it comes back. mine is still alive too. I just sold all my SPS to a guy in the cities.

I would be shocked if that sps colors up in my tank, I am not setup to keep sps happy. I had to get James to double check, wasn't sure if it was just the angle or if it was really turning blue. Guess we will wait and see. I am running some carbon right now so probably cleaned the water up a bit.
