I see the the one website talks about a good skimmer to help with the red hair algae. I have a corallife 65 skimmer (not the best) Will a better skimmer help ? I'm looking at http://www.aquacave.com/reef-octopus-extreme-160-br-protein-skimmer-br-by-coralvue-2199.html but 300 bucks is alot right now Sad

I like ASM skimmers. I run the g1x good for up to 150g, for 259. Vivid aquariums.com has them and they price match, check em out.

H and S 200X3-F2001

finsreef.com

I personally believe that this and lighting are the two most important things in stabalizing large reef tanks. I used to use deltec but h and s is same thing just more affordable.
