147th Transpotation Unit send-off

I attended the ceremony today with the 147th transportation unit of the National guard from Duluth with an outpost in Chisholm. Nine charter buses hauled them and their families from Duluth for a special sendoff from Chisholm. We had a fly-over by 2 F-16s to start it all off. They parked at the Armory and marched about 6 blocks to the school , singing as they marched. About a 2 hr program followed, it was moving. These 187 brave men and women are off to afghanistan for a year. In my book these people are heros. Sometimes I think we take our freedom for granted. God Bless these brave men and women.
