Post by tinkerman on Fri Jul 10, 2009 10:31 pm

Ok so we got a long tennitcal anename and it moved into the intake of the maxi jet mod. Any ideas on how to get it out? Thanks for any help.

I had a LTA do the same thing, hopefully it has worked it's self free by now. Mine split after the "big suck" and now there are 2. I just unplugged the pump and let it do it's thing, but didn't remove it from the water at all.

We lost one that way. We unplugged the pump and got it out as soon as we saw it but it never recovered. If it looks melted, it's not good! I hope the best for your LTA buddy.

It got free and went back to the same spot it was that night. Today doesn't look to bad so maybe it will make it hopefully. Thanks for the replies.

My clowns won't host my new anemone either. I read an article that you can place a small plastic clown fish on the edge of your Nem, and the clowns will come welcome the "new guy" and stay for the Nem. My Nem went "walk about" and I now have him corralled in with LR. I turned my flow head and power head so they are not giving him (I named him Scooter because he likes to move) so much turbulence.

I am sure enjoying him.

I got clowns to host. I think it may be easier to add the nem and then the clowns. I traded thr perc in and got a couple skunks and hosted both nems the same night they went in.
