My new fish!

Post by GoingPostal on Tue Jul 21, 2009 9:42 pm

So I splurged and bought a new fish finally, tank has been very empty since my clownfish disappeared and this beauty was sitting on LiveAquaria's Divers Den for awhile. It's a pinktail trigger, I got it last Tuesday but it hid for a few days and now is out, about and eating great so I think it will make it. My camera sucks and he won't slow down so they kinda suck. Plus the glass is dirty but I didn't want to scare him cleaning it.

First off beautiful fish! I love triggers.

Unfortunately I don't know if this one is reef/invert safe... That's why I have been holding off on triggers until I can upgrade my reef and ake the 75 an agressive tank... Smile. If it is safe though I might look into one.

Again, beautiful fish.

Very cool....like the pink tail.

Do you have to try to add other fish soon before it thinks it's the boss?

I am going to add fish that should be able to stand up for themselves, I really wanted a kole tang but I think that would be too many bland colored fish so maybe a brighter one or a wrasse instead. Then I would like a hawkfish, Diver's Den has a nice pair of flames but they are kinda spendy, if the price drops I will probably buy them. The trigger seems fairly passive, he doesn't chase the gramma at all although the poor little fish seems terrified now, lol. He's knocked a couple snails off the glass but isn't eating them yet. It's hard to decide what to add really but I think it'll be alright, going to add some more rock for hiding places.
